Family Conflict Mediation (FCM)
There is a strong need for the mediation of
disputes within the family. While a mediator is a neutral party, our Family
Conflict Mediators have backgrounds as Licensed Therapists to aid in their
understanding of the emotional needs of the family members.
What a Family Conflict Mediator does, is
help the parties get the process of give and take in motion. In a divorce, the
parties are dividing themselves. In a healing family, they begin anew on
joining back together. Mediation becomes a form of intervention that enhances,
rather than replaces, traditional counseling.
Victim-offender mediation helps to resolve
differences without legal charges and court intervention.
School yard conflict and peer mediation
teaches the life skills of compromise and resolution.
